Soft Water for Waiuku

We already pay for our water. We just want what we pay for.

The petition

We, the undersigned residents and ratepayers of Waiuku and surrounding communities, ask Watercare and Auckland Council to include water softening treatment in the upgrade of the Waiuku Water Treatment Plant.

We ask that this is funded from the water charges we already pay, not through a new targeted rate.

Waiuku's hard water damages hot water cylinders, appliances and plumbing, and leaves our households paying more than other Aucklanders for the same service. The plant is being upgraded now. This is the time to fix it.

Addressed to the Board of Watercare Services Limited and Auckland Council, via the Franklin Local Board.
